Network Information
InterSurge Internet's network and carriers are second to none. We trust our servers to nothing less than the highest quality facilities. Our web servers are housed in two state of the art datacenters located in Parsippany, New Jersey, and Dallas, Texas, and use the latest technology to ensure maximum performance and reliability. These networks consist of many diverse paths to provide exellent uptime and redundancy.
Facility #1: NAC Datacenter, Parisppany, NJ
Network
Infrastructure:
Our
network infrastructure is monitored at the Network
Operations Center (NOC) in Parsippany, where experienced
technicians are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NAC
guarantees a level of competent service by
placing core nodes at locations such as Equinix and
Telehouse. All of NAC's core nodes employ SONET networks,
which
provide a dual-redundant, counter-rotating ring technology
and are self-healing in the event of a fiber
cut. NAC's circuits
are divided among
several telecommunications providers, such as Verizon,
MFS/Worldcom, and Adelphia. With this combination
of superior network and service, we are able to provide
a high quality regional network which is on par with
many of the nation-wide networks.
Backbone
Carriers:
Connections
to multiple backbone providers, and peering with
many carriers on a regional and
international basis, allows us to easily reach remote
networks even if a specific backbone
connection is down. NAC offers
fast, reliable connectivity to the internet via multiple
OC-12 connections to over 75 diverse providers, making
sure your data can be reached, viewed, updated, and
accessed with incredible connectivity and network
strength. Current
NAC backbone providers include: British
Telecom, Schlund, Verio, XO Communications, Allegiance,
Broadwing, Cogent, ConXioN, Hurricane Electric,
Time Warner, Williams, and AboveNet.

In mid-July 2004, some of our dedicated servers at the NAC datacenter were moved to a brand new facility in Clifton, NJ: Fortress ITX. This facility contains 55,000 square feet of datacenter floor space and offers the latest in cooling, generators, UPS's, security, fire suppression, and more. Features include: 10 20 ton AC units, Biometric Security system, double pre-action fire suppression system, MCI OC48 Full Sonnet Ring, and Dual OC192's. Backbone carriers include MCI, Above.net, Level3, and Global Crossing.

Facility #2: The Planet Datacenter, Dallas, TX
Network
Infrastructure:
The
Planet's network architecture utilizes the Enterprise
routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco.
We
employ Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco
6500 series
switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 6500
switches in our aggregation layers. Customer access
switches in
the datacenter are Cisco 3500 and 2900 series
switches designed for maximum performance and uptime
availability.
The network is fully meshed and redundant with
10 backbone providers running the BGP4 protocol.
